Uuuugh, Season Six Lana Lang
I hope you get horribly emotionally scarred. You are so dumb. Lois can’t replace you fast enough.
dear smallville writers
Just when I think the last episode involving possession/drug/hypnosis that makes a character do something out of character is your last, you ‘surprise’ me with a new one. Bravo.
Smallville Seasons 1 & 2
I don’t know why, but I’ve decided to watch this series. I’ve never been super into Superman, and when the show first aired, I think I dismissed it for being a “big budget” concept on a “low budget” network. Same reason I never checked out Buffy when it first aired.
In any case. I hate to state the obvious, but this Tom Welling (at least circa 2001) is a...
Oh Boy.
So I watched the Sherlock series and started watching Merlin with my sister. But since I can’t watch it without her, I decided that starting Smallville would be an apt replacement until we can hang out again.
Is this a horrible idea?

Braid
Yeah, so I’m like 3 or 4 years late to the party. Bought this on steam a little while back when it was cheap and just got around to playing it. Very short but special experience. It reminded me a lot of the time spent playing Portal. And I really appreciate how much thought was put into the narrative as well.
I didn’t quite have the patience to unlock all the mystery myself, so I just...
thank the will of the universe
oh thank the universe, an episode that didn’t end in a cliff hanger! I’m free to sleep!
My guess is that...
starting up watching this much talked about Game of Thrones at 11PM was not a good idea.

So many good games coming out
There’s a few games I’m really looking forward to that are due to come out this year like Heart of the Swarm and Battlefield 3. I just wish they would be out already. What sucks is that there are a few games I’m willing to try out now, but I know as soon as these ‘real’ games come along, they’ll just eat all my time.
Video gaming is a branch of entertainment...

Harry Potter
I went to see the last movie. I couldn’t quite figure out the multiple occasions one would have teared up. I was ready to do it. But they didn’t come. It was much like when I went to see “Up”.
The movie was fine. Some unintentionally funny moments that you can’t really avoid when you name your protagonist Harry Potter.
But was most disappointing was I didn’t...

Goodbye, My Will to Play...
Oh, sad day. So I guess my buddy had a power outage and his Minecraft server and my giant Tree are riddled with chunk errors. Sad face. Should such feats of creativity only be done in the safety of your own computer? Sigh…
Well, I did plan to leave the house today
But got caught up with TF2 and Minecraft. Deadly, deadly combination. Unfortunately, there’s no food around here, which was one of the reasons I was planning on going out… Sigh. Seriously, if you want to lose weight, just get hooked on video game.

Getting back into Minecraft
Haven’t really touched it in a few months. Seems like a lot of changes, but nothing I really messed with too heavily. I’m playing on a friend’s server, and it’s nice trying to just build things from scratch. Taking some time away kind of reset my expectations as I was cheating up a storm when I was last playing. It really took the romance out of it, but it’s...

Stop it with the Dr. Who
Damn it you bastards. Don’t make me go back and catch up to this show (Haven’t watched past season two).
The Illusionist (2010) - Review
I didn’t much care for Triplets of Belleville, but respect what it did. I just found it meandering, pointless, and boring.
I am happy to say that The Illusionist was a much more engaging experience with a very sweet story. Or so I thought. It starts a certain way, but then it takes a turn that I wasn’t quite expecting. And it just kinda made me angry.
A good movie though. Just not...

Oh, D&D...
Every time I have to look something up on the Internet for work, I hear my imaginary DM roll a die to see if I made my Will save. I didn’t :(
Darkspore Beta
I checked out the Darkspore open beta on Steam. Played around with it for about an hour or two. I’d say I played 20 minutes or so of actual missions and the rest of the time playing around with the character editor.
It wasn’t until I messed with the editor that I finally realized that this was a spinoff of Spore. Basically, it’s an action RPG that plays similarly to Diablo but...

Tron Legacy
Pretty fun ride. Nothing spectacular, but had lots of things to like.
Michael Sheen was awesome.
And I thought the last scene was very endearing. I’d like to rewatch it just for that.
On a side note: dear theaters, if you’re gonna charge me an extra $5 to see it in 3D, then please offer me a non-3D showing.
BOO, minecraft down.
seems silly i can’t work on my server world during the downtime.
The story follows Conway, an antique furniture deliveryman, as he travels down a secret and mysterious highway in Kentucky, meeting some strange people along the way. Jake and artist Tamas are using Kickstarter to fund the project, and have supplied plenty of details about the game over on the Kickstarter funding page.
